We Love Monthly Donors!

It's summer at Stone Soup Café, but boy! – our community does not take the summer off!

The Saturdays keep on coming, and our volunteers and staff hustle to get hundreds of pounds of groceries and 500 meals out the door to our friends and neighbors every weekend.

During this season, I am especially grateful to the 200 monthly donors who support the Café every month!

You may not know this, but I’m one of them!

I give back to the Café because I know first-hand the financial obstacles the Café navigates each month to make our programs happen.

Monthly gifts help Stone Soup Café be prepared, no matter what.

We are so close to sustaining a full week of Stone Soup’s programs with monthly donations alone! We just need 30 more monthly donors to join us.

Whether it is $10 or $100 per month, I hope you'll join me in creating something together that none of us could do alone.

Meaningful change doesn’t come from one extraordinary person. It comes from ordinary people each giving what we can, together.

Thank you for being part of this community,

Kirsten Levitt, Executive Director and Chef

Welcome back, Chef Melanie!

Catering gigs have exploded! This is great news – catering brings in revenue to help us fill gaps. So, to keep up with the catering demand, we've added another powerhouse Chef to our kitchen.

Chef Melanie Highlander

Melanie started at the Café back in 2013 as a volunteer. Her love for food and the culinary arts stemmed from her time at Franklin County Technical School, and her “kitchen chops” have always been something she could fall back on.

Her experience preparing and working with plant-based products and nutrient-dense meals aligns with the Café’s mission, and she is happy to be part of a robust team! As she likes to say, “It takes a lot to feed a lot.”
