June 2024
After 12 weeks (48 class days, 250 class hours, 48 internship hours) 3 students have graduated from the Culinary Institute! Selected from a competitive pool of 50 applicants, these three students (originally part of an eight-person cohort) showed dedication, perseverance, and commitment.
Students were joined by friends, family, and the Stone Soup Café Board of Directors to celebrate their graduation by sharing a delicious meal at Hope & Olive and receiving chef coats, knife sets, and a certification of completion.
We know these students will bring the many knife skills and life skills they learned at Culinary School to all their future experiences. Congratulations Omayra, Bill, and Ben! We are so impressed and proud!
Join us next Saturday, June 29th at 6pm for Music, Movement, & Mirth at Amherst Cohousing! The event, hosted by birthday boy Rob Peck, begins with a delicious chef's dinner prepared by Stone Soup Café.
Following dinner, it's a festival of sight, sound, and soul, with performances ranging from Folk Songs to Jazz Standards, Celtic Greens and Jews Blues, to East & West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, and Contact Improv, to humorous stories, silent sketches, and New Vaudeville style Circus Arts.
A grand time for a great cause guaranteed to delight the ear, dazzle the eye, and delectate your taste buds!
Tomorrow we will serve tasty gluten-free Pay-What-You-Can delights from 11am - 5pm at Beacon Field in Greenfield as part of the 3rd annual Juneteenth celebration.
The parade starts at City Hall at 11 a.m. and travels to Beacon Field where you will find a jam-packed schedule of activities, music, readings, dance performances, and more.
